Marihuana Licensing
On October 7, 2019, the Springfield City Council voted to allow licensing for Medical Marihuana facilities within city limits Ordinance 2019-4. On December 20, 2021, the city council voted to amend the city ordinance to allow Recreational Marihuana facilities. The ordinance allows a limited number of licenses within city limits based on the type of facility see the charts by type.
All potential applicants for licenses must first have prequalification approval from the State of Michigan. See the steps involved in applying for a medical marihuana license or recreational marihuana license.
